   I just heard your comments about a favorite child. Well, in our family my mom has a favorite and after my father died she is actually making her favorite well known. All of the other children and grandchildren are very aware of this situation. Mom is actually giving the favorite the “family home and all of the contents” when she passes away. The other children will be left with crumbs. It’s the only way any of us can see it. It’s hard to imagine she would do such a thing to the rest of us because we are all good, kind and hardworking adults. She is so blind to the level of pain and shame it has caused the rest of us. Mom doesn’t have an option of her own any more. She wants to make sure her favorite is always happy regardless of the other children. I pray others never have to experience such heartbreaking favoritism. It really happens.
