After the Show: Is there a statute of limitation on spoilers?

No one likes spoilers, but after a certain amount of time shouldn’t it be okay to talk about it? For example, Murphy and Jodi just finished ‘The Sopranos’ but aren’t sure how much they should give away or talk about on air (although the series ended 10 years ago).
