- 2lbs. ground beef or ground turkey
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 pkgs. Chili mix
- 2 cans kidney beans (1 light, 1 dark), drained
- 1 cans chili ready or diced tomatoes
- 1 beef broth if using ground beef or chicken broth if using ground turkey
- Additional water depending on your desired consistency
Brown ground beef/ turkey and onions. Add in chili mix, beans, tomatoes and water/ broth. Simmer for an hour or so, covered. If it’s too liquidy, take the lid off. If it’s too thick, add a little water.
Serve with Fritos, cheese, sour cream (or Greek yogurt) etc.

February 3, 2026 at 7:22 amYour chili recipe sounds yummy but it’s missing one item – cornbread. I make a wet cornbread or as my girlfriend calls it corn pone. For me it tastes better because I have a tendency to make a very spicy chili. Not meaning to unless I get a cold. Cures what ales you. I may have to give yours a try. Thanks.
