HomeHeard it on the ShowHow Erin Andrews Didn’t Allow Cervical Cancer Control Her LifeHow Erin Andrews Didn’t Allow Cervical Cancer Control Her LifeWed, January 25, 2017 by Tessa Snyder SHARE NOW On Tuesday (January 24) Fox NFL sideline correspondent, Erin Andrews, revealed in a interview with Sports Illustrated’s The MMQB that she had been diagnosed with cervical cancer last year. It came as a shock to many. She kept her diagnosis and subsequent surgery very quiet. According to Us, “This is the first people are hearing about this. Honestly, everyone really did think she took time off to support her fiancé [Jarret Stoll]’s family when his nephew died. It was a totally understandable reason to miss tapings.” (Stoll’s nephew Jordan died at age 17 in a car crash in September.) “Erin’s [Dancing With the Stars cohost] Tom [Bergeron] even made a comment on the air about sending condolences to the family. She never mentioned her diagnosis, never mentioned she had surgery.” We are happy to say that (after two surgeries) Andrews is now cancer free “Everyone’s super-surprised! Everyone is very relieved she is OK. How scary.” You can catch Andrews back at work on Super Bowl Sunday (Feb 5th) where she will be covering the big game between the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons at NRG Stadium in Houston, TX.
