December 4, 2025 at 11:51 amEvery year when our family gets together for Christmas, we celebrate with a meal inspired by a different country or region. For example, one year we enjoyed Italian cuisine, another year it was Southern comfort food from the U.S. My sister adds a special touch by bringing an ornament for everyone that represents the food theme for that year. Over the years, we’ve collected some fun and meaningful ornaments: a ravioli for Italy, a chicken leg for Southern food, a crab for Cajun, a sausage for German cuisine, the Eiffel Tower for French food, and a taco for Mexico. We’ve been doing this for the last 17 years, and every time I pull those ornaments out of the box, it takes me right back to that year and the memories we shared.
