It’s Official! Katy Perry Will Judge On ‘American Idol’ Reboot

Katy Perry has officially been named the anchor judge of American Idol’s reboot next spring.

According to USA TODAY:

Looks like Bon Appetit singer Katy Perry is going to be served her meals at the judges’ table. ABC announced that the pop star will be “anchor judge” of its American Idol revival.

TMZ and The Hollywood Reporter first reported over the weekend that Perry was in talks to join the judging panel at the new installment of the singing talent competition.

Idol, which sang goodbye on Fox, is going to debut on ABC next spring and air Sunday nights. There are reports that Ryan Seacrest — who was just tapped to co-host Live With Kelly  —  will return as the show’s MC.
