October 2, 2024 at 7:31 amI just heard you guys talking about the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. I lived through Hurricane Michael in 2018, and even though I evacuated, I came back to the devastation and I lost everything I owned. It was stressful, and the starting over was hard and emotional, but i survived. Fast forward to 2019, and in my second home, only to lose it in a tornado that touched down in my neighborhood. (only lived in my new house 8 months). I had one wall standing, three collapsed in on me and my husband and our dog. we were able to quickly take cover in a small area in our home and again, devastation hit of losing another home to mother natures mood swings. now in my 3rd home, starting over from scratch, I do not take the weather for granted anymore. we take it very seriously because you never know when it will hit you. I have learned to deal with the unpleasant things that life can throw at you and i refuse to be a victim of life’s tragedy and circumstance, so I handle these stressful things in life because i owe it to myself to find out what is next. learning this has made me a strong person and if mother nature decides to hit me again, at least i can cope. thank you for listening, you guys are the best and i love listening to you.
