I live in Nebraska, which is a HUGE Football state, but I would be really angry and hurt if people skipped my wedding for a football game. Unless it was a major bowl game, it’s something that will come around several times a year. And my wedding will be a once-in-a-lifetime event in my life. (I’d never have a big wedding twice even if I married more than once.) I would hope my friends and family could miss a GAME for a major life event.
