August 8, 2024 at 6:59 amAll students preK-1st, if they don’t know how to tie their laces, please send them with different shoes. In a class of 15 plus, that’s way too many laces to constantly tie and the germs that come with it! And be sure to practice that skill AT HOME if you want them to wear laces or check online for lace alternatives

August 13, 2024 at 10:48 amPlease know that your child is in school most of the day. It is important for students to attend school everyday. Please put your child’s name or initials on pencils which often fall on the floor. I was a teacher for many decades I used to tell the students we were like family and needed to treat each other with respect. Everyday is a learning day. Your future begins when you go to school. Look at what people do at different jobs to see what you want to do in the future. It’s ok to send extra school supplies for the students who are not able to obtain supplies from home. Treat each person as if one day they will become your relative. What matters is that children learn something new when they attend school. Teachers are the motivators for students.
Teachers teach with kindness, humor, and bring the world to the students.
Students listen and ask questions if you need more explanation. Parents journal writing for 5 minutes at home daily and read for 10 minutes daily helps children learn the love of reading and expressing what happens and what they feel. Enjoy the time with your children before you know it they are Graduating.
